The Tour...

Ends Cycling is inviting Cyclists & Support Staff to our Wagon Wheel Bike Ride in Union City, TN!  Located in a rural area of the US, this tour is a cyclist’s dream.  From beautiful country roads, Reelfoot Lake, small towns and mild elevation, the diverse riding conditions offer unique challenges for all levels of cyclists. Unlike other tours, this ride has one host church. That means no packing and unpacking all week, and more time for community! With 300-400 miles in 5 days, come experience our first ever 150 mile ride, (extra distance optional) as we cycle through Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri and Arkansas in a single day. Enjoy locally owned coffee shops, see the Eiffel Tower in Paris (Tennessee that is!), take a ferry across the Mississippi River, and maybe even spot an elusive white squirrel in Kenton. On this tour, you'll have the opportunity to make new friends, cycle through God's beautiful creation, and change the world for youth in Haiti!

Got questions? Please email our #WWBR2019 Ride Director, Matt Crosson at MattCrosson@gmail.com.

The Reason We Ride...

Love of a Father Ministries (LOAF) works with unwed mothers in the city of Les Cayes, Haiti. Teen pregnancy is a problem in Haiti, a country of overwhelming poverty. Generally, young women in Haiti aren’t educated about their bodies, leaving them vulnerable to sexual manipulation. Some are told their partner couldn’t get them pregnant. Some are trafficked. Some are raped. In cases like these, the father rarely sticks around to help with the pregnancy.

A young girl in this desperate situation has two options: to give birth and listen to her sick, hungry baby cry because she can’t meet its needs; or to have an abortion and hope she’ll be in a position to care for her future family, assuming she lives through the back-alley procedure. LOAF Ministries aims to provide a better option: to offer each girl a way to keep her baby, finish her education, and provide for herself and her child in the future.

LOAF needs funding for their ongoing nutrition and education programs, and special equipment like an ultrasound machine. The sight of a living child growing inside a mother can be instrumental in her decision to choose life, sparking the determination to tap into every available resource to keep her child alive and healthy. Beyond that motivation, nutritious food is essential to healthy living, and education provides the means to get a job and care for a family.

Because each girl’s situation and pregnancy is unique, prayer is our most powerful tool for handling each situation with wisdom. Ends of the Earth Cycling and its participants will serve our ministry by praying for the specific needs of our girls, and your ride will raise money to meet the needs of young, vulnerable women in Haiti as we expand our program. Hope to see you in June!

How Are Your Cycling Groups Organized?

An experienced Team Leader will lead a team of 4-10 cyclists throughout the multi-day event. Riders will be grouped depending on their strengths and preferences. You are welcome to choose which group you wish to be in ahead of time. (If you're not sure you can do it, go get a cycling computer and see where you are at!) A suggested 10 week training schedule is available to you in our tour handbooks.

It’s our recommendation no one changes groups unless absolutely necessary. We would love for you to grow deep relationships with people in your group.

Paceline - 16+ mph average

Journey Lovers Plus - 14-15 mph average

Journey Lovers - 12-13 mph average

SEE Train - 10-11 mph average

D Group - >9mph average (will likely not finish all miles each day)

PLEASE NOTE"Average" means over the course of a 60-80 mile day, the actual pedaling speed that your computer will read at the end of your ride. This means you will at times, be riding at 2-4 M.P.H. above your actual "average" for the day.  These averages will change on international tours.
